Hello, we are currently in the planning phase for the new construction of a single-family house in Owl. Now inevitably the question arises whether the exterior facade should be plastered, i.e. single-layer with ETICS or double-layer with Dutch clinker brick cladding. The goal is a KfW 70 standard. We had actually already decided that it should be clinker because it "breathes" much better and I have not been particularly enthusiastic about the sealed plaster facades so far, also with regard to maintenance. However, a builder recently told me that there are plaster facades that last 30 years with the first coat of paint. And in combination with a LW heat pump and integrated ventilation system, this would certainly be justifiable. Especially since the costs for a plaster facade are 10,000 - 15,000€ below the clinker facade. So my question: which construction of ETICS systems is the most durable, and now I don’t only mean the insulation material but also the plaster and the paint. That also plays a big role. Thank you in advance for your answers....
