I also find the Baumschule Eggert really great so far, I have already bought quite a few things there. Unfortunately, everything around here is being cut down and cleared as much as possible. A pity. I moved here because everything was overgrown and it wasn’t like that just since yesterday, and hardly had I moved in, chainsaw massacre. Ours are the only trees that weren’t cut by half last autumn.

That's pretty much how it is with us too. All around, 4 big trees were slaughtered. That doesn't even include the small fruit trees. Those Romans are crazy! It takes 100 years for something to reach that size and some idiot thoughtlessly chops it down. Well, we're fighting back and have now... wait... let's count... planted 8 big trees (beech, linden, oak, walnut, and alder) plus 4 fruit trees and then 10 smaller ones like medlar, wild apple, basket willows, etc. Haha! So, if they all survive, woe to the tree haters! It will be a jungle and they won't be able to do anything about it.

just like with us, this year alone 10 new spruces, 1 hazel tree, 2 cornelian cherries, various bushes and 1 apple tree. Unfortunately, the bluebell tree was a total failure, only 20 cm tall instead of 80 when ordered, tip dried up and then the late frost... I don’t think it will make it. But I think it’s so great, I will definitely order it again, just from somewhere else (pflanzmich is really almost every time a reason to complain...).
