The conflict remains that buttons and switches are clearly simple solutions and the more comfortable options require ongoing care. Over the years, something always needs to be adjusted or corrected, which one never has to think about with the "old method."

Basically, a presence detector is more suitable in your case. But the question is whether the wiring is even planned for it. How can someone forget a switch? :D
