what do you think, wait until the Corona crisis hits and then strike or now? At the moment, I don't really find any reasonable devices.

Hi,

here’s my two cents:
I had been eyeing a wheeled excavator, you can sometimes get them for 5k.
But they’re completely worn out and I really didn’t want to invest 30-40k.

For digging the foundation pit, I rented a 10-ton Takeuchi over the weekend.
Moved about 350 m³ of clay.

Costs: 660 for the excavator and 150 for diesel.
Cleaned the excavator Sunday evening and returned it Monday morning.
No trouble, no repairs, no space needed on the property, etc.

I’ll do it the same way next year when designing the garden.

Best regards
Paule

If you buy an old, used mini excavator that is still functional, you can always sell it later. With an old model, the depreciation upon resale is not that high anymore. However, it may take some time to find a buyer for it.

These are good photos. 67 meters high and 300 tons heavy. A true machine monster. This demolition excavator is really a beauty. I wonder how much such a machine can cost. If you are looking for excavators or mini excavators, they can cost up to 30,000 or 40,000 euros second hand. I imagine something like this would have to cost around 500,000 euros or 600,000 euros. Or more? Definitely more than a truck. That’s for sure. But maybe I’m wrong and it’s much more expensive than I think.
