Merten rotary dimmer

The electrician is letting us down a bit. The following dimmer was installed:

Merten MEG5131-0000

Can I now safely buy LED lamps or is it not possible? I don't want to spend money for nothing.. so far we have been using halogen lamps....

We don't have a rotary switch, we have a rocker switch... common from Merten. Our electrician frowned when he heard about LEDs combined with dimmers. The common dimmer from the BU/electrician is usually not LED-compatible, it would probably have had to be specified or ordered separately, that's how I interpret his frown. However, it must be said that a) the lamp itself and b) the LED bulb must be dimmable anyway. We paid attention to that and can only dim in 2 stages. But it doesn't matter ;) The lamp is almost always off anyway.

If you have an LED load of at least 40 W, it should work. However, this is difficult to achieve with LED. Below that, it will probably flicker... However, no transformer either, only direct 230V LED. And of course dimmable LED...
