Of course, that's okay, I didn't mean it in a judgmental way.
I stand by the fact that it can work. The calculator roughly gives 1.76% for 25 years, which makes a rate of just under €820 plus €450 ancillary costs + reserves, totaling about €1,300. The residual debt after 25 years is just under 60k, so negligible. Percentage-wise, it's more than recommended. But if you're the type of person who knows what they're getting into, doesn't want to travel the world every two years, and lives modestly, for me it's doable, though it requires discipline. If, of course, you place a lot of value on consumption, you should leave it. This constellation is very type-dependent. For one person it fits, for another it doesn't. Only the original poster can answer in which category they fit. But please be honest with yourself, otherwise it can indeed be a nasty awakening.
