If the money for the materials (i.e. the 5,000€) went to the craftsman and not to the seller of the goods, then the seller will likely have an extended ownership right to the goods until they are actually paid for. I do not see that you are already the owner of the goods just because they are delivered to you. Only when the craftsman passes on the money he received from you to the dealer is the seller no longer the owner. That's my opinion on it.

If you have paid the money to the craftsman, in my opinion you still owe the money to the dealer. Because you have called it up and thus ordered it.

Unless you had a verifiable power of attorney from the craftsman to call up the goods. But even then it is questionable whether the goods belong to you as long as they are not permanently installed. However, if you have paid the money directly to the dealer, the goods belong to you and of course you do not need a power of attorney.

Remarkably true

Dealer has less goods, craftsman has 5000 bucks more, you have 5000 bucks less, but goods.

... and dealer picks up the goods again when the craftsman has spent his money in Thailand.

Hello,

so I am now the proud owner of the floorboards. The craftsman also came and swore like a trooper. We clarified everything and cleared out, and he will show up next week.

It was all a misunderstanding, he has so much to do and no desire for any social contact. He only maintains that at the completion, not afterwards. The craftsman species is really strange.

Full understanding for the wish to avoid contact. Lucky is he who can delegate that in the company. Not responding can eventually be harmful.
