Hello forum community,

I am curious about how you handle the maintenance of the devices. I had my heating technician install everything and have a maintenance contract. But I increasingly feel ripped off because the work is not very extensive and I pay a total of 500 euros every year (excluding materials).

Air heat pump, central ventilation and exhaust, descaling system.

Who takes care of this for you and how much do you pay? Since the warranty on my heating system will expire soon, I would like to do it myself in the future.

Best regards

Our plumbing/heating company did not want to offer us something like that because they come from farther away. So we found one here. He said: We do not do maintenance contracts. You will remember, you call once a year shortly before the heating season. And that’s how we have been doing it for 5 years. Since my husband always makes the transfer and also handles the taxes, I don’t have the exact price at hand, but it will be around €160 for the gas heating. We are satisfied. We do not have descaling. Controlled residential ventilation is maintenance-free (we do the filters ourselves).

Uh, what does he actually do there? The devices are mostly maintenance-free. You can change the filters yourself and something has to be done on the heat pump? However, I have no idea about the descaling system.

Ventilation actually only cleaning: Cleaning device Cleaning heat exchanger Cleaning pre-heating coil Cleaning condensate drain

Softening: Maintenance according to manufacturer specifications, replacement of wear parts set

Heat pump: Checking valves, checking expansion vessel, checking circulation pump, checking filter

500 is already quite a lot,

We pay about 130 annually for the gas boiler including [ST], I maintain the controlled residential ventilation myself, it's not rocket science.
