The statement was made out of ignorance.

I issued a reminder by email on Saturday.

I hereby demand that you professionally remedy the mentioned defects and restore the contractually owed condition.

I will not agree to compromises.

However, to me

reads as a plausible explanation of how the incredible could still have happened: reference point wrong - everything wrong :-(

So far no response. Only read receipts of the emails. I see that positively. The construction company is gathering facts and working on a solution.

Read receipts are good.

Working on a solution and collecting facts would be my preferred order.

Hmm... can it get any more unfriendly? He first has to get an idea of the ACTUAL condition. Reminding by email should be avoided, I also don't know any craftsman who voluntarily checks his mailbox every day. A reminder must also be set with a deadline, otherwise you are giving them unlimited time now. Leaving that aside...

But with such a tone you can quickly spoil the relationship... You are just at the beginning of the construction... Are you building with a general contractor? Then they owe you the house that was planned... what happens in the meantime you sometimes have to endure. So if something happens on Friday afternoon and the construction manager wants to get an idea of the correctness of the work only next week, you cannot interfere, threaten or remind before he even had time to react. You can point out to him that something caught your attention... he should take a look at it... but coming straight out with reminders is completely exaggerated.

It is good that you are paying attention, but please give the construction manager or builder time to react at all.

I understand... That would be annoying.

Furthermore, it would be another proof that "specialist company" is not always equal to "specialist company." So it's no use always taking the "traditional" path.

(In relation to online purchases, MyHammer, etc... you just have to be lucky with the provider. Online just as in real life.)
