Hello,

my name is Markus and at the beginning of the year, my family and I fulfilled the dream of owning our own house. In spring, the electrical installation suddenly failed us, and because of the night storage heaters, it got a bit cooler at first. Now we are almost done with the electrical work and a few days ago the pellet boiler was delivered. Actually, an acquaintance was supposed to help me with the installation. However, he is currently prevented from doing so due to an accident.
I now see soldering the pipes as the lesser evil because I have almost completely renewed the water pipes as well. The pipe laying plan is already worked out but we forgot to include the expansion vessel (MAG). Now I have everything roughly pre-installed between the buffer and the boiler. The expansion vessel is an 80l one and should be installed in the return line before the return booster.

So here are my questions about this: Does it bother the expansion vessel if it is connected with an 18mm copper pipe to two 1.5m pipes and a 90° elbow, or does it not matter?
The connection of the expansion vessel is at the bottom, and I also have a stop valve, but when I then vent it, there is still a little air in front of the membrane. Does this air disturb the system, or does the connection have to be done from the side to ensure it is air-free?

Your question is probably too specific for a house construction (layperson) forum.

In a forum mostly consisting of prospective homeowners who want to have a house built, you find all professions, but rarely heating installers ;)

Yes, at least one exists :-)

The MAG actually doesn't care how long the pipe is, or how many bends are installed in it. If still possible, it should be a 22mm pipe. Whether the connection is on top, bottom, or side also doesn't matter.

Hello

Great and thank you, that is at least something. Only the actual issue with the air, when the connection is downwards and the resulting improper venting, has unfortunately not been answered yet.
