Looking for the Bjursta showcase receipt for a complaint at IKEA

Hello,
I have a very big problem.
About 6 weeks ago, I bought a Bjursta display cabinet.
I wanted to put the display cabinet in a niche in the new apartment, but now it is too big for that. The display cabinet is still in its original packaging and the boxes are undamaged. Unfortunately, I lost the receipt during the move; I simply can’t find it anymore. I usually keep all receipts, but of course, I can’t find the one I need now :(
Unfortunately, I can no longer do anything with the display cabinet, so I want to return it. I already went to Ikea, but they are refusing. No receipt, no return! Unfortunately, I paid in cash and without an Ikea Family card, so they probably can’t verify whether I even paid for the display cabinet. How am I supposed to smuggle the display cabinet past the checkout?!?!
I don’t want to sell the display cabinet on eBay or something because I wouldn’t even get close to what I paid and everyone knows, moving costs a lot of money :confused:

Who has a receipt for a Bjursta display cabinet in dark brown for 259 euros?

I am also willing to pay something for it; I would just be overjoyed if someone could help me :)
Oh yes, the receipt should not be older than 3 months, so there won’t be any problems again ;)

We have already discussed this topic here.

You won't have any luck getting a receipt here. Think carefully about when you bought the display cabinet and how much you paid for it.
Is the display cabinet still in its original packaging? Then some Ikeas will take it back in exchange for a voucher; the only deduction is the lowest price in the last six months.
But better that than nothing...

I went to Ikea very, very often during the move, so I can't say exactly when it was, probably about 6-8 weeks ago.
I was already at the store with the display cabinet, but they completely refused, just didn’t want to. The problem is, I drive about 110 km to Ikea every time, and that’s just for the one-way trip. I have already checked online, the display cabinet was apparently on offer about 3 or 4 months ago, for Family members 99 euros! But I definitely paid 259 euros! I don’t want to drive to Ikea again just to receive 99 euros, if anything at all.
I would be more than happy with a voucher, as long as I get the full amount back at my disposal.

Maybe someone can help me after all with a receipt??? :confused:

This is still attempted fraud.

Why fraud? :eek: I paid 259 euros and unfortunately lost my receipt. I'm not doing anything wrong with that. It's my honestly paid display case.

You won’t have any luck at IKEA, only €99.00 as a voucher and that is goodwill.
You won’t be able to change anything there.
What I already wrote before, only that can help you:

Why fraud?

Let’s take an example:

I go to IKEA and steal a carpet for €199.00 (for example Koldby cowhide). Now I go to IKEA and say that I have lost my receipt. Now I’m supposed to get €199.00?

That would be theft. That’s how IKEA operates.
IKEA can refuse a return without a receipt due to dissatisfaction.

Another second example:

I buy the cowhide at IKEA Hamburg in the north on vacation. It costs €99.00 in Hamburg (Family day offer). When I’m back home I see: Oh, it costs €199.00 here. So go there and get €199 as a voucher without a receipt?

That would be fraud. That’s how IKEA operates.

You are welcome to complain to the people who exploited this loophole and forced IKEA to take these measures.
If all customers were honest, the world would be much simpler.
