Lighting concept, how can you implement it cheaply at home?

With us, it was such that we had the lighting planning done in a lighting company but paid for it separately. When the detailed planning was available, it allowed us to work with the data contained therein - at the same lighting company - within the budget. Good solutions could be found that also fit our budget. The original planning wanted to consume three times as much as we eventually spent. There were also Artemide lights included that we could not afford, but that does not have to be the case for everyone.
Many greetings Gabriele

Please explain why and what your suggestion is.

From what I have read here, a recessed spot costs between 70 and 250 euros. Can someone please comment on this?

Artemide is a lamp manufacturer, and that's exactly the point where I find some lighting designs unreliable: Lux / lumen / candela, color temperature, beam characteristics, ... - I expect such neutrally formulated data there, and examples of specific models can be helpful; but bills of materials full of only certain models, with which you then basically have to go to the checkout with a blank check, I don't see any consulting in that – let alone fee-worthy consulting. To me, that is just "value added selling."

In the 70s/80s everyone had spotlights and showed them to every visitor with shining eyes,
that’s why I find them old-fashioned ,
I’m allowed to say that, right?
We ourselves have a mix of LED floodlights (dimmable), lights with E27 sockets (step dimmer), ambient lighting,
and when we say "lights on,"
nothing happens

I always find it amusing how spots/recessed downlights are spoken badly of in this forum. Every light source has its reason for existence!!! It’s all about the mix!!! Nida35a nailed it by saying that every room should be divided into categories individually!

I think it’s great that you’re dealing with this topic!!! Please keep it up!!!!

I would approach it in this order; As soon as the floor plan is set, everything must be furnished 1 to 1. Then you start with the lighting planning. First, the general lighting. Then you plan task lighting room by room. For example, the light over work areas. Then the ambient and decorative lighting. This is the nicest light you will use the most. This is exactly where it gets interesting. The light can also be divided into several height levels!!! For example, adjustable spots or picture lights as picture/decorative lighting. Wall lamps, floor lamps, stair and niche lighting, etc. The possibilities are endless.
