A few more infos:
The packaging usually indicates whether an LED bulb is dimmable.
If it is NOT dimmable and connected to a dimmer
can cause the LED to break. So it’s best to test the bulb without a dimmer again!
But even if you have an LED that is marked as dimmable, that doesn’t mean every dimmer works!
There are different types:
[*]Universal dimmers for "ohmic" loads with 230v - incandescent bulbs, (high-voltage) halogen
[*]Dimmers for capacitive loads - for bulbs that run on 12v etc. and have an electronic transformer
[*]Dimmers for inductive loads - also with a transformer but a "classic" one (toroidal core etc)
The last two can work with dimmable LEDs - but don’t have to. It depends again on the type of LED.
