Leave the standard toilet bowl and replace it later?

How did you do it, or how would you do it?

Tend to have the general contractor plumbing company do it and then carry out the replacement yourself (or have it done) afterward according to your wishes?
I guess swapping a toilet bowl isn’t really that much of an art?

Do it immediately or only in many years. The connections never fit perfectly, silicone residue, etc. Apart from the fact that you pay twice.

Yes exactly, let's do it right away. Just talk to the [Sanitärfirma]. With our [GU] there was only Bathroom A or Bathroom B for a 3000 euro surcharge. No mix and match possible. So we went directly to the [Sanitär] and picked out the bathtub with them directly. It was not a problem at all.

For example, we canceled 2x toilets and 2x washbasins, for which I think we got a credit of about 1200 euros. Then I bought some from Duravit Durastyle for about 500 euros, but just the way I wanted them, without visible fixtures and square. Bathroom furniture with washbasin and base cabinet for about 1000 euros. Bathroom fittings the same, I don’t remember the exact amounts but they ended up being Grohe Eurocube, nicely square. I think these are things you can easily install yourself.

Just don't let Gu screw anything on and then replace it afterwards. Proceed as described by Tomtom79 or Tina.

We had no interest in first building with the main contractor and then procuring and installing something like the sanitary fixtures ourselves. The surcharges for patterning at the wholesaler were acceptable and we don’t have to worry about anything.

However, the furniture is coming from the carpenter. The two base cabinets (one under a washbasin, one under two washbasins) were priced together at over 7,000 EUR at the wholesaler. We just laughed briefly and then crossed that off. They can easily be added later, no coordination necessary.
