It is stated in the state building regulations that an enclosure in the outer area requires approval. This is therefore difficult, as you usually need a reason. And that is not "we have a dog."

We have 6 dogs :-)

Is a disabled child a reason? I'm going to have a heart attack... I would really like to have the property including the dilapidated house... it is simply in a great location... I have always wanted to live so secluded... there is nothing comparable

A half-timbered house that has been vacant since 2008 would likely require a complete renovation. That often means from 250,000 euros upwards.

Unfortunately, I can’t provide anything legally binding. But it doesn’t necessarily have to be a fence, maybe an (almost) impenetrable hedge might help? Congratulations by the way on your doggies. Opposite us lives a Great Dane and it is just so cute. :)

Don't give up. First, do thorough research. And who could possibly object to an impenetrable, insect- and bee-friendly hedge? Of course, no cherry laurel.

Take a deep breath and just call the building authority. Talking helps very often ;-)
