Hello,

since our terrace is higher than our garden, we plan to compensate for the height difference with L-shaped stones. Here I have now come across the variant with reinforcement or without. The question is whether stones with reinforcement are necessary for a terrace or if they are needed for heavier loads?

Furthermore, I have only found L-shaped stones without reinforcement with a maximum height of 1 meter; are there also higher ones or is that the limit?

Thank you

Hi,

I'm not an expert, but I think you can skip the reinforcement unless there's a risk of someone crashing into it with a truck. :D

Our situation was similar. We did it with a dry stone wall made of natural sandstone.

As a layman, I had also understood that reinforcement is needed, for example, when cars stand on this raised surface. It would of course be nice, but maybe someone has other opinions. Otherwise, I have to cover material costs of over €2,000 on my own... :(
