Kramfors leather sofa cover, damaged coating

Hello everyone,
I'll briefly introduce myself:

My name is Tobi, I am 37 years old and married.
Now to my problem.
In December 2006 we bought a Kramfors leather sofa, now about 2 1/2 years later, the polyurethane layer applied to the leather is coming off. It sticks and doesn’t look nice anymore.

Does anyone else have this problem? I have already read a lot about it in a blog. Unfortunately, I haven’t received any helpful information there regarding exchange, complaint if at all possible, since it is older than 2 years.

Other models come with a 10-year warranty, but unfortunately not this one.

so as you describe the situation, unfortunately the statutory warranty period of 2 years has expired. But: the Kramfors problem is known at Ikea and usually the customer service on site is quite lenient. Especially when it comes to the leather sofas. My tip: find the original receipt, if possible bring a cushion along for inspection or take photos with a digital camera or mobile phone and ask at the counter very sadly and disappointed if there is anything that can be done. By the way, there was a recall regarding Kramfors_Leather sofas and also a manufacturer change because of the quality... just a little tip, I am an employee myself, hehe
