ante, that there are so many of them was pure irony. Even in SH there are few. In Hamburg and nearby very bleak. In Süderschmedebyholm right next to the large pig fattening operation, there are of course some, but that simply does not suit everyone.....

The fines are appropriate so that one does not come up with stupid ideas :-). It would be a zero-sum game with a house on a slab foundation. With a basement, it would look different.

KfW55 already makes building more expensive, but we are not talking about a fortune here. Done correctly, you actually end up with somewhat lower consumption in real terms at the end of the day and at least recoup part of the initial costs.

Do you have a source for this or is it more your gut feeling? I only know of problems related to the fire-retardant additives.

Styrene has been withdrawn from the market due to cancer risks for the end consumer. Try to get styrene or styrene-containing polyester resin from Vosschemie or so, they won't sell it to you unless you have a shipyard or a car paint shop or something.

Interesting, but I didn't ask about that. Styrofoam is made with cured polystyrene beads, how much does it really off-gas? Especially since it is nailed to the outside of the sand-lime brick, the emission rate into the interior of the house is probably close to zero.

What did you ask for then?
