Hello,

I want to replace the heating system in my completely renovated house. Oil should be removed, heat pump or pellet heating installed (not yet decided). This measure (offers amounting to around €35,000 are available) is subsidized at 50% for pellet and 55% for heat pump via a grant. The remaining amount is to be financed through the KfW supplementary loan over a 5-year term with 0.01% interest. The taxable income limit of over €90,000 is observed.

Is there anything I have overlooked here, or can I simply take out the loan? I am always a bit suspicious of the KfW variants, and in this case, it somehow seems too easy. Unfortunately, I could not find any information in the forum via the search...

Thanks in advance!

No, it is actually that simple. You need the funding approval for the heating system replacement and then apply for the supplementary loan. If the conditions are met, everything is easy. P.S. By the way, you can repay the supplementary loan at any time without [VFE] (also partially). Not bad either.

Great, really great. I could also pay for the system like that, which would admittedly limit our liquidity quite a bit. I don't want that, and I had therefore tended to postpone the renewal of the heating system. With the interest-free loan, it is wonderfully possible. :)

Can you give an update – did you receive the loan and if yes, through which bank?

Hello Reinhard,

the measure has not yet been applied for / implemented - therefore I cannot provide an update.

Best regards

Short interim update from me: The "scam" in this matter is that banks mediating the Ergänzungskredit always have an interest rate level about 1% higher for the regular loan portion.

I have not found a bank that only mediates the Ergänzungskredit.

It's annoying when you had to pay the energy consultant and the so-called individual renovation roadmap, which frankly has a poor informational value, just to apply for this loan with 60,000 instead of 30,000.

There is indeed the 20% KfW subsidy, but it would have been possible simply through the tax return as well, without feeding the energy consultant.
