Hello,

we want to renew the wooden windows in our house.
New windows should be white on the inside and anthracite on the outside.
Four years ago we renewed our external roller shutters with radio control (4 pieces approx. 3800 euros), these are completely white.
The old white external roller shutters would be screwed onto the new anthracite profiles.
What do you think, how does that look?
New external roller shutters in anthracite cost approx. 3000 euros more.

Is it possible to renew the new external roller shutters after a few years, because there are drill holes from the old external roller shutters on the profiles?

What would you do: keep the old white shutters or get new ones?

We have a total amount of 18000 euros, new windows (floor-to-ceiling) Schüco, window sills, insect screens, roller shutter box insulation, 4 new aluminum roller shutter slats, 6 external roller shutters. All radio-controlled by Somfy and with timer.
Everything including installation, disposal, and electrical work.
With partial toughened glass and soundproof glazing.
What do you think of the price?

Please no pointless answers.

Thank you

Happy Easter

For how many and what kind of windows? Without concrete data, you’ll hear everything from "it can’t be that cheap" to "way too expensive."

I hope to be able to suggest sensibly to have the old roller shutter boxes painted by the local painter and varnisher from "Farbe" white towards anthracite. The aluminum blind itself should remain "alufarben" though - right?

There are 9 floor-to-ceiling windows. Everything will be renewed, window sills, 6 external roller shutters, insect screens, replacing roller shutter slats 4 times, roller shutter box insulation, etc. I have obtained over 5 quotes, which were well over 20,000 euros. If we only renew the windows with window sills, we are at 12,000 euros.

That was my idea too, to paint them in anthracite. Our painter had suggested that to us as well. The aluminum roller shutter slat remains as it is.

Then you have already given the answer to the price yourself. Someone has to install the windows after all. It will hardly get cheaper. Of course, the company has to work cleanly. Unfortunately, you can't know that beforehand, unless you know satisfied customers.
I would keep the shutters. If the white rails are annoying, you can still paint them in the mounted condition.
