Is wood fiber insulation on rafters useful for uninsulated attics?

does a rafter insulation made of wood fiber insulation boards make sense in an otherwise uninsulated attic (above 2 full floors)? With regard to heat protection, etc. The top floor ceiling is to be insulated. Thanks

this is what our roof structure looks like as well.

The wood fiber insulation boards are quite useful as heat protection - our attic isn't really cool at the current temperatures, but it's absolutely no comparison to the uninsulated attic in the old house - there, in summer, it often felt like being in an oven...

The question is what you intend to do with the [Spitz] - of course you have more summer heat protection, but the price is high and the effect on your [vermutlich Zelt(dach] is small.

We have it, but a gable roof, which also benefits the upper floor - that's why I would always do it that way again.

It is also a gable roof, but the roof does not extend into the living space because there is a full floor below. The insulated house is basically a cuboid, and the gable roof is placed on top of it.

OK, but it doesn't change my opinion ;)

Can the attic be used as living space in terms of dimensions at any time? If not, I would probably not opt for external roof insulation. The rafters as thermal bridges can also be insulated additionally.
