Is the window installation correct? Is it wind-driven rainproof?

Hello dear forum,

I would like to gather opinions on the sealing of our house. Our site manager assures us of a "reasonable and tight execution," with the argument "this cannot be done differently" and "we have always done it this way and never had any problems."
As a preliminary note, this passage from the construction specification should be mentioned as a quote: "The joints remaining on the room interior side between external components and the building structure (frame casing) are to be completely filled with mineral fiber insulation according to DIN 18355. Deviating from this, the execution according to the rules of technology with mounting foam is chosen."

1. The question we have is whether the sealing or installation of the windows was carried out lege artis (driving rain?).

Here are pictures of the same window at different stages of construction:

2. Should there have been a second sealing layer in front of the Styrodur and the masonry under the windowsill?
3. In the last picture 6, you can see the execution of all windowsills. Underneath comes a sealing tape and according to the site manager "it is plastered over and everything is tight" – is this sufficient?

Picture 7 before sealing tape and 9 after sealing tape at the corners:

Here is the continuation of the lateral execution:

4. And last but not least, an important question for us arises whether the floor-to-ceiling windows should not have been sealed directly at the window frame and not at the roller shutter guide rail, so that there is also a lateral sealing for the masonry against penetrating water:

By the way, the "grayish" part was added by the site manager after we expressed our concerns. He assures us that the window is sealed, especially because plastering is still to be done.

Thank you very much for the input!

That looks like a sealing slurry to me. Not a window maker, but a window manufacturer. The pictures do not show the state of the art or training, but rather the reality in the window installation subcontracting business :-( I am confident that in the end it will be completed to your satisfaction in practice, nevertheless, an expert would dictate a complaint into the recorder during a coffee break. Conclusion: it can indeed become sealed - but it is certainly not suitable for showing apprentices how to do it properly.

The insulation has nothing to do with the sealing, but is an insulation between the building components. Just read what is stated in the approval for the construction foam. Compression tapes are of course not pulled around the corners,... From the inside, a vapor barrier on a smooth plaster (not glued to the porous stones) is required and from the outside, a driving rain tightness. This means, to put it simply, you hold a watering can to the joint and the insulation must not get wet. Just refer to the RAL installation recommendations and how a blower door test is supposed to work,...

Regarding the probably 2-component sealing slurry: When we use it in our company, the exterior of the interior wall is, of course, smeared 2-3 times beforehand. After the installation of the floor-level windows, these are also coated except for the already coated wall/board/foundation. The house must be sealed all around and not each small component individually.
