Is the offer for liquid screed and laying tack boards too expensive?

What would you recommend for screed in the basement? A floor heating system is being installed.

Then the height is leveled and correspondingly little screed is applied. I hope the slab is rather too thick than too thin, so that you don't have any problems if in the worst case it is 50mm too thin. Is the basement a utility basement or a living basement? Why? Old utility basement yes, new build with a waterproof shell definitely not. As I said, the price is okay. You really won't save money with cement screed.

So far, it was a utility basement, now it is being converted into a living basement.

Built in 1963

The house stands on a strip foundation and the floor is filled with rammed concrete.
What problems could there be with the thickness of the floor?

How should the floor be leveled beforehand? With leveling compound? How long would I have to wait before starting to lay the staple plates?

Well, if the floor slab was supposed to be 12cm thick back then, but in some places it only measures 7cm (assuming that the areas where a lot of screed is needed were poured too thin), that is a defect where you would have to say for new construction: Everything out, redo it. The reinforcements must lie correctly in the concrete. But in an old building, you have no idea how it was built. You also shouldn’t worry too much about it. So higher moisture input is to be expected. Then better no anhydrite screed. For example, with (bound) loose fill. Leveling compound will blow your budget and the differences are also too large for that.

P.S. However, thin-layer systems are only gypsum-bound. If the height is a problem, then there are no alternatives either.
