Hello everyone,

I am about to start lightly sanding and painting my wooden windows.

I looked for the color Palisander. Which matches 1:1 with the lid image of my window color.
Now I open the can (see photos) and suddenly the color is much lighter. When painted it almost looks orange.

Question:

Will the color darken or did someone give me the wrong can?

Thank you all!

Darkening doesn’t compare there.
But you should stir the color pigments properly – did you?
Glaze is always lighter and is only intended for refreshing the color. Maybe a lacquer glaze would be better for a more opaque coat?

Best regards in brief

Varnish oil. Owatrol for example. Stirring is a good idea. A very good idea!
