Hello everyone,
after the general contractor's insolvency and very extensive defect remediation, we are slowly planning in all directions again (shell construction has already started). Unfortunately, the money has naturally become tight and we have to see if we can maintain our planning. One of many (expensive) considerations is:
Can we get by with a ceiling panel as a cooker hood? (Recirculation/extraction is open)
- The kitchen is separated from the living/dining area by a 1.76m double sliding door
- Ceiling height 2.51m
- Kitchen worktop is supposed to be about 90cm high
- Under the ceiling there will be a boxed section about 30cm high
- The cooking area is (more or less) in the middle of the room
The cooker hood would therefore have to cover about 1.30m.
Can you give me tips on whether this will even work reliably and, if applicable, if there are any "affordable" devices suitable for this? (We probably won't see the kitchen builder until the next few weeks)
