It’s already too late if it were any deeper. The game is up. Your site manager should use the [Pipsding] to measure the height and tell you how high the raw floor will be. You can figure out the rest yourself with the planned floor structure.

Yes, you're right... I can then remove another 200 tons of soil from the property to be somewhat even!

Just theoretically, if it were really too deep now, what would our options be? So can one then charge the general contractor for additional costs?

If the general contractor has followed the architect's specifications that you approved (i.e. gutter height) plus or minus a few centimeters deviation, then no. But as I said, stay calm, 30cm minus floor construction is nothing. In the best case, you are even level and don't need a pedestal.

At ground level, I wouldn't have a problem, only if I were lower and the whole mess ran into my house!

Your wastewater pipe doesn't end on top of the gutter cover ... but rather in the shaft, possibly 2m deep.
