Alright! Thanks for your advice. I have an offer from an architect, which amounts to 170,000 €. I want to bring it down to 140,000 by doing it myself.
??? You want to reduce the planned expense of 170,000 from an architect to 140,000? By doing what? Building it yourself? Or just asking questions online until someone confirms your price?
You have read "Bauexperte," and I consider the 170,000 already very optimistic.
From experience I can tell you: if you plan 10,000 it will cost 12,000 in the end. So far, nothing in our building project has ever been a cent cheaper than planned. It has always cost a few euros more.
One question about that: If an architect calculates a house for me and says 170,000 € is plenty, I take out a loan, and it’s not enough. Who pays the additional costs for refinancing? Is the architect liable?
