Is meter removal or meter rental during vacancy legal? No!

The idea is certainly good, but not every basic supplier offers this tariff without a basic fee, because they prefer to "convince" or "force" the customer with a €100 annual basic fee. The question above was probably not understood by the comrade because "no basic fee during vacancy" presumably assumed the termination of the contract, which the tenant already did when moving out and the landlord does not have to terminate again separately.

And what exactly prevents the landlord from choosing the appropriate one from the seemingly 300 other tariffs? It doesn't have to be the basic supplier.

Name me a tariff that, among your felt 300 with 30 kWh per year, is so cheap that it costs less than those with a basic fee! Either they require a minimum payment or a minimum usage of e.g. 2000 kWh. That does not meet the goal. The provider must then also be usable everywhere and not just regionally. Otherwise, the tip would be sh...t.

Even if you turn on the light for 2 hours every day, that is 50 kWh/year and thus only 15€ electricity.

Well, using price calculators is not reserved for anyone. There is a tariff that is available throughout Germany and costs less than 10 euros for an entire year. And with longer vacancy, you have much bigger worries than a little electricity cost.

This is obviously not about a specific problem that needs to be solved. Rather, it seems to be a general expression of discontent, which also comes across quite cryptically. More like a kind of political statement, which may have been the expression of a personally received bill.

What this is doing in the [Hausbau-Forum]? I have not the slightest clue.

Bud, I can't find something like that right now. Can you give me a tip? Something like that would always be good to know.
