Is KfW55 worth it instead of KfW70 with an additional cost?

In the 8000, the consultant, expert, construction supervision, and inspection are also included? If necessary, question this! However, there is not much savings capacity left there. From, that is below kfw70, one has always paid for it until now.

You can calculate it yourself. BeHaElJa already gave you the 5-10€ savings per month. On top of that, you add the interest expense for the higher financing amount, unless you have already offset that with the interest savings. As far as I know, you also need an energy consultant to accompany the project. That will partially eat up the bonus again. So it only pays off after about 40 years at the earliest, provided you do not want to sell your house. One should keep in mind that during that time one or the other renovation may be due again.

For the consultant, one can also apply for a subsidy. Considering that KfW70 is becoming the standard, one should definitely calculate and decide on this.

It is not easy, I will first wait to see how high the actual costs are and whether everything is taken into account, such as [Energieberater] etc.

Due to the new KFW conditions from 4/2016, it is quite possible that the balance will shift in favor of KFW 55. Then you have to see what the conditions look like.

Some points from me:
- KfW-55 involves higher costs for the energy consultant because the certification must be conducted more strictly than for KfW-70.
- Ing-Diba does not offer KfW-55 loans because they consider it too much effort.
- KfW-55 becomes interesting if you already want things like geothermal energy and controlled residential ventilation and thus, for example, have a KfW value of 58 and only need to invest a little more in better insulation to get down to KfW-55.
- Calculate how much the monthly rate would increase with the additional investment of €2500 and compare that to the mentioned €10 you would save monthly.
- Conversely, could insulation be reduced without losing the KfW-70 status? You can also do a cost-benefit analysis in this direction.
- The KfW funding conditions can change and do so regularly.
