Post in the topic 'Energetic Renovation and Extension, KFW 261 Example'

See for example the statement by "dertill" from 09.2023.

That extensions are generally fully eligible for funding under program 261 is confirmed several times by various applicants in this thread.

Sorry, but this is „only“ from the forum. I do not want to offend the poster, but what you read and quote here is not a well-founded statement. Official documents would be helpful, gladly copied in here as well so that one can google them afterwards and I can possibly confirm them.

As "dertill" has already written, the information and funding criteria are not explicitly stated in the information sheet.

The basic eligibility for funding of extensions, however, corresponds with information provided by construction companies regarding extensions and their funding.

But dertill also says

and with you

Therefore, it would rather be appropriate to check on the KfW's own pages and not to define interpreted KfW regulations from forums as "proof with expertise" as requested by you

Both my architect and energy consultant as well as I have gone through all the KfW information we could find several times. However, nowhere could we find the required information, which is why I am turning to this forum.

All 10 resulting residential units each have a part of the living space in the existing building, which, from our point of view, meets the criterion described by "dertill."

I would be very grateful if someone with the appropriate expertise or prior experience would share their assessment.

Thank you very much and best regards

There are such or similar interpretations from the funding institutions "If the area of the existing building is larger than the area of the extension, the entire complex is considered as an existing building. If the area of the extension is larger than the area of the existing building, the entire complex is considered as a new building." Excerpt from a Bafa letter
