Next to the door is practical because you then have the light switch there to turn on the lamp when you enter. We didn't have the electrical panel yet; the electrician installed everything for us (surface-mounted box and switch, the cables are theoretically visible, but practically many things hang in front of them (we use these practical hooks from the accessories to make the best use of the storage space). We have our party fridge right next to the socket like Lotte, very practical! Depending on the location of the shed (wasn't that at your place at the back of the property boundary?) as others have already said, an outdoor socket is also not a bad idea (Christmas lights, party lights) and I also advocate for an outdoor lamp with a motion detector so that you have light when you enter the house in the dark (you sometimes come home by bike in the evening or get a tool or put something back in the evening), unfortunately we didn't do that and sometimes regret it.
