Is it sensible to build a new semi-detached house without the KfW standard?

Guys, no one said that the house is bad... I just think the price/performance ratio doesn't match. If there were floors,... in it, I would say okay, but as it is, it's a bit weak.

Well, with the current rent one can save a good amount. There’s also no child on the way, so it’s not urgent. In the area where I would want to buy a house, there are practically no apartment buildings. And in the next city, apartments are going for around €4200/m². That’s not something you just buy as a temporary solution. The decision hasn’t become easier because of this thread, but thanks anyway for your answers. In the end, buying a house always seems to require guts, and there’s always that uneasy feeling of buying at a time when everything (except the loan) is too expensive.

Hello again,
there is an appointment on site tomorrow and when I reviewed the documents again, I noticed that I obviously didn’t read correctly.

It is not 17.5cm Poroton with [WDVS] but 17.5cm Poroton with 16cm thermal insulation plaster. That somehow seems even stranger to me. As far as I have been able to find out, thermal insulation plaster is mainly used for the renovation of old buildings and only up to a thickness of 10cm there.

I will definitely address that tomorrow. Have you ever heard of such a combination?

In fact, 16cm ETICS is installed. The information was simply incorrect. The partition wall between the two halves of the house has 17.5cm Poroton on each side and 6cm insulation material in between. We will first try to get an appointment with an independent expert who should take a look at everything.
