Hello, a question for the architects: We have already planned our house and have a building permit. However, for the actual construction phase (i.e. searching/awarding the trades and construction supervision) we would like to hire a different architect or construction company. Would the new architect agree to something like that? Is it possible to build a house that he did not plan himself? Thank you very much and best regards

Of course that is possible. But what is the assignment for the first one? Phases 1-4? or beyond that as well?

They are rather sparse here. What is the reason for the change? Agreeing, yes, the service phases can certainly also be understood as interfaces. Is there an execution plan from the previous architect?

Certainly no problem, as the building permit and thus a complete planning are available. However, such construction projects are often supervised not by architects but by civil engineers. There are offices that specialize in this. The decision ultimately lies with the person who will do it later and what you have commissioned so far.

The question will be whether the previous architect's preliminary work is such that the new one can continue seamlessly. If no execution plans have been created (these are not needed for the building permit), a new architect will likely have doubts.

If you want to get rid of the previous architect, I would look for a draftsman and a civil engineer/site manager. After the building permit, the architect is no longer needed.

Phases 1-4 were done by our architect, then we contracted ourselves and shared the construction management with the carpenter, who can also build turnkey. That worked great. We saved money here. I am happy to recommend the architect.
