Is it possible to build a house only from clinker (bricks)?

Why? We could just as well insulate from the outside. Then the wall would be about 80cm thick. That's a joke. It is already questionable how much light will still come through the windows because they resemble a tunnel. The topic is off the table for us for now. We continue to rent as commercial property.

Real house construction is more complex than in The Three Little Pigs or The Settlers, where some wood and clay suffice. One also does not refer to a brick house...

Just google house construction, maybe in combination with wall structure, and get a bit more informed.

Without knowing, I would say that it is definitely possible to build a house with a double-walled brick wall. Whether it needs [Zwischendämmung], no idea ... From a cost perspective, the whole thing probably doesn’t make much sense, I think ...

Our entire house is made up to the roof of brick wall (36er) + plaster. For 110 years. U-value according to relevant sources 0.8. Today, of course, no longer up-to-date. But the return on investment for insulation lies in the distant future. Maybe then, when everything on the little house is done.

Such massive bricks are "good" conductors of heat. That’s why people like to use something with air inside, which slows down heat exchange.

However, I once heard an architect talk about today’s "insulation craze," who said: To have houses pleasantly tempered, you need thick walls. Period.
Presumably, this is a "personal opinion," but I liked it, and building walls entirely out of solid bricks goes in that direction.
I imagine such bricks are more expensive than those with air inside? Do you get them for free?

The Poroton brick is a brick with air inclusions. Its thermal insulation values are worse than aerated concrete blocks, but it is suitable for construction according to the [Energieeinsparverordnung]. Proven millions of times. The facing then a clinker of choice.
