How does something like that work? But that's not a common option, is it?

By ticking the corresponding box for the special repayment amount on the form. Just ask your bank about it or read the fine print regarding special repayments. Acquaintances have done this several times (DB). I haven’t had the impression so far that this is something special.

Edit:
ING does this too. After transferring the special repayment, you have to submit a letter.
