Is buying a house affordable? How "good" are the conditions?

Women get support from their bodies in the form of sweet little hormones. That often makes it easier for them to get through times of sleep deprivation and frayed nerves It's the same with childbirth pain. We cheat there.

But my husband still freaks out today if he has to take care of the little one alone for a few days. Especially now during the most beautiful phase of tantrums and stubbornness. He’s still guessing how I tell whether I can let him have a tantrum now or need to comfort him. To me the crying sounds very different, to him it all sounds the same.

This thread was originally not about breastfeeding. That’s what I meant.

Thank you very much for the numerous responses!

Of course, we have thought about what will happen when (hopefully) the first child arrives.

My wife has the opportunity to work from home. However, this reduces her profit share to about 30%.

The other option would be for me to take parental leave, which I would have no problem with at all.

It would be conceivable to combine the two options.

What I want to say is that a child is actually not a big argument against buying the house.

Since I still occasionally read along in this forum, I don't want to withhold from you how the whole thing ended.

We bought the house. We had a son, and my wife stayed at home for 3 months while I took the lion's share of the parental leave. And yes, our son is still alive...
By the way, I can only recommend to every father who has the opportunity to take part of the parental leave to do so. That time will not come back.

Oh yes, I am also currently experiencing this enjoyment of parental leave. Truly a wonderful time!
