Is an electrical cable allowed under the shower?

Hello people,

we are currently building and the electrician has laid a cable under our shower, the cable then goes up through the shower wall through the exterior wall (Außenlampe).

Now I am wondering if this is really approved? The electrician says yes.

So the cable lies on the floor slab. So screed and insulation will be applied on top, and plaster and tiles will be applied on the wall. (Kabel ist im Stein reingeschlizt)

I still don’t quite understand it. The cable runs on the floor, later the shower will stand on it. Now the cable goes up the wall, chiseled into the stone, and this wall is then directly in the shower area?

Yes, it goes up the wall carved into the exterior wall (Ytong) then out through the exterior skin.

That means it will be filled, then 15 mm of cement-lime plaster applied plus tiles, then it will be showered there.

and that is completely harmless. The cable is insulated. There is plaster over it. Tiles as well....think about it.

A socket has no place in a shower, the cable is completely [wurst]..
