Hello,

we have a walled, open shower with an almost floor-level shower tray. The L-shaped wall around the shower tray is about 2.10 m high. Nobody knows why it's 2.10 m!!!! No idea if we ever talked to anyone about it. Never mind.

The tiler wants the bathroom and the inside of the shower to be tiled at the same height, namely 2 m. So that the bathrooms are tiled "all the way up everywhere," that's what we wanted, I knooooow, it's modern to tile as low as possible...

The real question: is 2 m tile height in the shower enough???

My husband always showers with thin high-pressure jets, so he almost looks like a sparkler!

Best regards

My shower partitions are also about 210 cm high. However, they are tiled all around, including on top.

It is also important to get an idea of at which heights full tiles are started. And at which heights it should then continue, for example, at washbasins, etc. I like continuous grout lines and also think it's good that, for example in my case, the tiling was started under the window so that the large tiles extend from the center to the right and left.

My bathroom is only 4.2 square meters, so it is difficult to photograph.

It depends on two points. 1. How tall are you? At 1.50 - 1.70 m, 2 m can be enough. 2. How do you shower? As you described your husband, you should tile the entire 2.10 m.

3. I think it would look strange if the last 10 cm were suddenly not tiled. Also take into account the tip from - tile above it as well.

Edit: You want to live there for the rest of your life (or at least many years). Then it should please you 100% (unless it is financially impossible). One or two square meters of extra tiles should not be a financial problem.

Yes, have it fully tiled, including on top. I don’t have it, it’s annoying, a real dust collector...
