Is a price reduction possible for an irregularly shaped plot of land?

Ingolstadt area. Well, insight and greed. That's usually where the "sibling love" ends.

I wouldn’t put it that way. In the case of inheritance, one would also want to determine the value (=market value). This article (link removed: search market value property on Wiki) helped me a lot, as we currently have a similar case in our family (albeit with a land reference value of < 10 euros/m²) ;-).

The question is whether you both can agree on a procedure to determine the market value, accept the result, and also bear any costs. In my humble opinion, the land reference value is only a rough initial indicator of the market value. This is probably higher than the land reference value in the current times, meaning, objectively speaking, you can only lose if you initiate a serious valuation. Of course, I cannot comment on the family relationship at this point.

Why should the seller accept anything other than the price demanded by him?

Hello forum friends,

it’s not about the value of the land itself, but whether a "defect" – namely a small corner piece of 8m x 8m – is missing.

How much land was it? 800sqm? At €600 that results in a sale price of €480,000...
The nice little sister would probably also be happy with €400,000 if the nice brother wants to buy the land.
But we don’t know the family circumstances – what once was, what currently is... Stubbornness (but also generosity) often has its reasons.
