Is a loft bed worth it for adults in high rooms?

We might possibly make an old building usable for apartments. It has very high rooms of about 3.80m. Now we are considering whether to keep the high rooms and advertise them for, for example, loft beds. Or should we rather lower the ceiling to 2.80m or so? Or differently in the bedroom than in the living room? Would you want to have a loft bed in an apartment? It’s still cool in the children’s room. But in the bedroom? On the other hand, of course, you immediately have more living space. Recently I saw a bed that could be lowered from the ceiling. I didn’t think that was uncool either. What do you think about loft beds for adults?

I think that’s hard to say and depends a lot on the individual person. Some definitely find it really cool and would like to take advantage of the opportunity. But others certainly cannot relate to it at all. How the percentage is divided can probably hardly be told to you without a survey... I guess it also depends heavily on the age of the respective person.

I have absolutely no use for that. I don’t want to climb a ladder every evening and fall off the ladder half asleep at night when I have to go, breaking my neck.

What is still possible at 25 is no longer possible at over 50.
Just thinking about how quickly I have to go to the bathroom at night

In the studio apartment, student room, and youth room I find it brilliant. In a standard bedroom, I find it unnecessary to create additional storage space under the bed. At most, then, a really nice large sleeping area.

So I hadn’t really considered the thing with having to go out at night. But that would be eliminated with the variant of the "pull-up bed." But then it could just as well be a wall bed – not really ideal. So what do we do with the high rooms?
