Depending on the type of suspended ceiling, you can also reach it. You might have to remove a few screws... Not much more effort either. How often do you even renovate? Replacing an element in a grid ceiling is also annoying because the color no longer matches.

What I think is great is simply being able to get up into the ceiling at any time to, for example, lay cables or replace the lighting without any problems. Remove the panel, install the lamp, put the panel back in or just use a new panel if the holes no longer fit.

1. How often does it happen that you want to lay new cables? It is "only" under the ceiling, but somewhere, if necessary, they also have to be connected, which is not under the ceiling. 2. You can also do everything classically with a suspended ceiling - access panel + empty conduits.

I can understand it already… and I wish for this possibility now and then too.. for example, when we have a lot of visitors, we rearrange our tables.. the lamp then naturally hangs in the wrong place. It would be great if one could simply temporarily move the ceiling lamp. I also wish for a pendant lamp above my reading chair (instead of a floor lamp with a cable in the way). Unfortunately, we hadn't thought of something like that during our planning.. the lamp outlet above the coffee table isn't quite perfect either.. you could manage everything with such a ceiling system. What do you understand by nice design for living spaces? The development of suspended ceilings is my daily bread, but almost exclusively for commercial buildings. One of the problems with a suspended ceiling is that you need a certain ceiling cavity for the function. This means, with the same room height, a greater floor-to-floor height compared to a normal construction, which usually conflicts with the zoning plan in the end. This modular look is also not to everyone's taste. My former boss worked on the "holy grail" of a seamless-looking metal ceiling until his retirement, but apart from a few prototypes, nothing ready for series production has come out yet. Let's see what the future brings.
