Is a glass box as a cozy corner financially feasible?

We are creating a seating window, but rather in the traditional sense, meaning that we have a 170cm x 170cm fixed glazing and the wall is pulled inward to a depth of 60cm using drywall. This results in a completely normal-looking window from the outside, but with a frame you can comfortably sit in and stretch your feet. The window is on the west side with an unobstructed view on the upper floor and will be flanked on the right and left by bookshelves. This way, we have a wonderful spot for our library to read, listen to music, or simply relax and look out to the west....

I am not familiar with Austrian conditions; in my opinion, this would not be compatible with the German Energy Saving Ordinance 2016. How would you even want to implement the idea in a loft conversion?

Why do you think that is not compatible with the Energy Saving Ordinance

I see no problem from the Energy Saving Ordinance side if it is done correctly. It remains energetically nonsense, though. [emoji23]

The idea is a typical photo beauty. Just as beautiful as architect-designed houses with a glass surface of over 60%

I only think of the grease marks when you rest your head against the cold glass pane. I had a little seating corner by the window on vacation. It was quite romantic at first, but I preferred to move to the sofa. It became rather uncomfortable over time.
