At my bank, I can open as many [Tagesgeldkonten] as I want, free of charge, and I can do it myself on the internet. I have also opened several for multiple savings pots. I find it very convenient. It is, of course, not suitable for saving, but you have a good overview.

we have several daily money accounts for various saving purposes. among them also provisions but also for special repayments because we can only make one per year.

Rabodirect offers one for example with up to 9 subaccounts. you can name them for the really dumb ones like me^^

May I ask how satisfied you are with the handling at Rabobank?

you have the TAN generator, which takes some getting used to. Otherwise no complaints. Transactions are only processed once a day. That means you have to transfer money by 12 o'clock, otherwise it will be processed the next day. A big plus in my opinion is the sub-accounts and the option of the 30 or 90 day fixed-term deposit account. That gives a little extra interest.

Overall, quite satisfied. We also have an Ing-Diba overnight money account. That is also OK.

My partner and I have a joint account on which everything runs. I paid for the construction from my account because I have substantial reserves there and also a decent overdraft facility. This way, I could always pay every bill immediately, even if a payment from the bank took a day. Since I recorded every tiny bill/booking down to the last cent in an Excel sheet, it all matched perfectly in the end. After paying the last invoice, I transferred the last few thousand euros from the construction to the joint account. Since then, the account has been responsible for everything related to the house. Our accounts are not with the financing bank. Account management fees go against my "stingy is cool" mentality when others offer it for free with no real services in return. I have been with Hypo for almost 30 years. Whether the money arrives immediately or two days later at the bank for the monthly installment makes no difference to me. They have SEPA, so they are responsible for getting their money themselves.
