Hello guys, I have a question: my future wife and I are planning to build a house. The house will be about 160 m² and will have a basement. - Building plot is already available. - The house will be a wooden house, it will be assembled, so outer waterproof installation; it costs about €120,000 including assembly. - The basement can mostly be done by ourselves since there are some bricklayers in the family as well as in the circle of friends. - What costs should I expect for the basement? - Equity of about €77,000 at the start of construction (only from me) without my wife. - What should I calculate for the interior fittings, this also includes kitchen and bathroom. - The interior fittings will mostly be done by ourselves. - What heating do you recommend? - Solar and photovoltaic should be included (but obviously pay for themselves, so not included in the calculation). I would therefore have to borrow about €90,000. How far would I get with that or do I need a bit more? If I forgot anything in my list, please tell me! Thanks, best regards Tesca

Hello Tesca,

you should best write how you would distribute the remaining 47,000 €. Roughly, I think I would rather assume total costs of about 230,000 €. So already "somewhat" more.

Hello,

if you want to carry out many things yourself, you can deduct them from the total construction cost estimate. But keep in mind that 20% own contribution is already an extraordinarily high amount.

Hello Tesca !! I have a very simple question for you … If enough bricklayers are present, why don’t you build massively. Best regards. ;)

Hello everyone,

absolutely right.
But what is at least equally regrettable is when someone asks their questions here, we think about it and do the work and answer them to the best of our knowledge and belief, yet this someone never lets us hear from or see them again.
The original question was about 1.5 months ago now.

You can already think to yourself: What is the whole point of this anyway?

Best regards from Osnabrück
