Inverter and power storage under the roof?

Hello everyone,

this year I want to build a semi-detached house and I just realized that somehow not enough space has been planned for the utility providers.
Until now, I assumed that the topic of photovoltaic would be less problematic, since you can just put everything in the attic under the roof.
A friend of mine advised me against this yesterday, due to heat and noise development.
Inverters and storage should be kept at temperatures between +5 and +35 degrees permanently,
but whether this is achievable in an insulated attic during summer, I doubt without expertise.
Furthermore, inverters supposedly produce noise when operating, and if the bedroom is right underneath,
that definitely won’t be fun in the long run...

So, what do you think? Where to put the inverters and the storage? Unfortunately, my planner only planned a utility room with 7m²,
which is already too small for everything.

What do you think of the idea of putting the inverter + storage in the garage? It is 30 meters away from the house.
Yes, I am aware that the distance from the module to the inverter in direct current should be kept as short as possible due to losses.

Regards
Flo

This will also become a topic for me, although I messed it up more myself. I believe that if your attic is insulated, the temperature should be less of a problem. If necessary, you just have to set up a split air conditioner for the absolute high summer. There should be enough electricity for it if needed.

Regarding the noise development, I would worry less or do you often sleep when there is a lot of sunlight / or then use a lot of electricity?

Don't you find an unused square meter somewhere on a wall?

Actually – no! ;-( That's the problem when you let an architect plan. Of course, they have expertise, but they are very sparing with utility providers if it helps them score points in design. I didn't even notice it myself; it was only mentioned in the first discussions with electricity and heating.

... I just called the photovoltaic company. They say (of course) similar things as we all do, "There's always a place to find.", "Better attic than garage.", "If well insulated, the attic won't exceed 35 degrees, otherwise insulate the storage again."... Mmmh, good advice is as expensive as always!

Usually rather the opposite for these reasons: - DC at 700-1000V instead of 230V, therefore lower current on the DC side of the inverter - Usually 6mm² for the DC part while on the AC side 2.5mm²
