I crush lice: gently circle the flower with thumb and forefinger

Yes, nitrogen deficiency. I told my husband, who already watered yesterday. But my clover population has to go first.

Yvonne, get yourself a sack of Blaukorn from the country store. Spread evenly. Water. Or scatter before a rain shower. With some luck, the lawn will displace the clover patch again. Your tufts too, that is fodder grass for livestock, which also copes with [Magerwiesen]. The fine, velvety grass lawn, however, simply needs a bit more nourishment.

Wolf lawn fertilizer with weed killer has worked great for us against clover etc.!

Against lice, I spray dissolved [Kernseife]. It usually works great, it’s just a slightly disgusting affair, since the whole leaf is supposed to be wetted. Meaning: spray and massage the leaves. Yuck.

However, when I see that the ladybugs are already taking care of them, I simply leave it - usually it’s regulated quite well this way. This year, the lice also devoured our apple tree. And the late frost killed the walnut blossoms. There is always something!

Well, then I'm not the only one with the problem. Here, too, there's an absolute aphid invasion on the vegetable plants, the pear, the sour cherry, all the roses.... really bad. On the pear, leaves are already turning black and black fruits are falling off.

I have now tried a mixture of neem oil and water, that is supposed to help well. I will report back.
