Indeed. We had to process that first yesterday :) because to get a reasonable amount of daylight into the ground floor, we have to build very deep (actually 8 meters was planned, but that would barely get us "out of the ground")
If I may ask again, you mention setting the house "higher." But that is only possible by a maximum of 50 cm, right? Due to the max. eaves height.

Yes, it is probably not much. But that also depends on the floor heights. Besides, you must not forget that normal windows on the side are positioned at a parapet height of about 90 cm. You may not necessarily be able to plan a patio door on the left and right, but certainly plenty of windows.
