Hello,

We want to build soon and since we are only building once (we hope so [emoji6]), we wanted to tinker a little.

Now my questions:

We want to build the interior walls on the upper floor ourselves, preferably masonry!

I thought about laying one row of Ytong blocks (25-30 cm) per wall to start, then have the construction company install the underfloor heating and pour the screed! Once the screed is dry, I would like to finish building the walls!

What do you think of this idea?

Masonry on screed is not so good, right?

Another alternative would be drywall, but we prefer solid masonry!

Hope you can help us

Best regards
OneP

Why do you prefer solid walls?

That you only want to build once, let the people do it who can [es dürfen keine anderen Sachen dazugeschrieben werden].

PS: I can build walls, my father built 2 houses himself and my father-in-law also one! So no worries, it will be fine [emoji4]

Because of sound transmission? Noise? It's better with solid walls, right?

If not, correct me [emoji849]

Of course, solid walls are better. Sometimes the world is that simple.

However, the walls should be erected immediately after the completion of the shell, e.g. during the roof covering. The plaster comes before the screed and before that, the rough installation of the electrical and sanitary trades will take place. I assume you also want electricity, water, and plaster on the interior walls.
