Dear Forianer,

I am just about to place a >1000 EUR order with Alpenkalk (approximately for 500sqm of primer and 600sqm of paint + odds and ends).
Normally, I like to do some research beforehand.
So: Does anyone have practical experience with it?
How is it with delivery time, quality? Customer-friendliness in case of service, coverage, colorfastness, paintability, smell, abrasion resistance?
Which alternatives do you recommend and why?

Thanks and regards

Hm, participation is quite poor here. I have now ordered and will report...

So we did everything here with KEIM. Meanwhile, a decisive point for me would be that I can return paint (possibly with a small fee) AND that I can quickly reorder paint. This issue has caught up with me for the second time now.

So the Alpine lime paint is always available within a few days and remains usable for several years after opening, so these reasonable conditions were also met for me...

Here also the same with no germ but then suddenly I needed 5 liters of one color and then the hectic search started. Luckily, a building supply store had this mixing service. For us, 2-3 days would not have been good twice. The day before yesterday I hectically ordered chalk time because this product is hardly ever sufficiently in stock at retailers. Due to incorrect delivery information, I then drove 170 km in the morning just to pick it up for the weekend. As I said, it may have only been my problem, but it came to my mind because it is currently acute here.

Alright, if it really is about hours, it gets difficult. Although Alpenkalk advertises that orders placed until 11 hr are handed over to DHL the same day, which usually means it arrives the next day. But of course, that’s not guaranteed and Alpenkalk is almost like a direct sales company, as far as I know. It is only sold by very few dealers.

On the other hand, I think I might be able to foresee earlier whether I need more, or rather, mathematically I have overordered.
Well, we’ll see...
