Interior and exterior plastering (aerated concrete), what to consider

With gypsum, it's enough to moisten and prime. Is there more to consider here?

In one part I glued construction boards and then plastered them. That works reasonably well, in the remaining part I can repeat it with the boards next year. But in an area that catches the eye, I would not plaster myself.
